Our Community
Widgee State School is part of a warm and supportive rural community. Our families come from a variety of backgrounds, including those who have lived in the area for generations and others who have recently moved from larger towns and cities.
Many families are involved in local agriculture such as crop growing, beef farming and horse activities, while others work in Gympie and surrounding areas. Most students travel to school by bus from nearby acreages, and we are proud to welcome families from a variety of cultures and family structures into our school community.
